Mudpie is a show adapted from original pieces written by young people in our community (Evanston, Skokie, Chicago, etc). We’re looking for anything (short stories, poems, personal essays, rants, reflections) that we can bring to life on stage! The pieces that are selected will be performed this Spring by a group of young actors (grades 6-8). Young authors whose stories are selected for Mudpie will get complimentary tickets to the show(s) and receive official recognition in the show program.
This will be Mudlark’s 10th Mudpie production.
What is Mudpie?
We are looking for any writing that young people are passionate about! These pieces could be short stories, poems, speeches, personal essays, original fairy tales, rants, reflections, or free-writes. They can be serious, silly, or abstract. These pieces will be performed by young actors grades 6-8, so please ensure that content is appropriate for this age group.
